Responsibilities

Designing complex and mission-critical systems
Involved in all program phases, including requirements analysis, system power schematic and interconnect design, cabling and wire harness design and routing activities, and supporting manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification of the hardware system
Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop systems that meet their high expectations

Required

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience)
Requires an additional 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of job-related experience
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred

Designing AC/DC System level Power distribution schematics and Signal Interconnects
Cabling and wiring harness designs using MS Visio
Circuit breaker scheduling and system load balancing of Single-phase and 3PH power systems
Power and Signal cabling and Wire Run List design
VPX backplane connectivity design
Working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers
Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program
Experience with EMI cable and wiring harness design, using advanced materials and packaging techniques to high-speed interfaces
Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio for Power and Signal cable designs along with Power schematic and Signal interconnects
Background in test, troubleshooting, and reading System level Power schematics and Interconnects
Ability to persevere through design challenges with minimal direction
Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on your concepts and idea
Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
