Hardware Development Engineer Internship – 2026 (US), Leo Manufacturing
Amazon is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer Intern to join their team working on the Amazon Leo satellite network, which aims to provide reliable internet connectivity. The intern will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop quality systems, perform data analysis, and support manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Develop quality control plans, MSAs, and statistical process control systems
Perform data analysis using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and analytical tools
Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing execution systems
Conduct fixture and tooling design validation and debug activities
Qualification
Required
Are 18 years of age or older
Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States
Knowledge of analog and digital skills
Knowledge of schematic design and debug skills
Experience with embedded systems
Currently working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other equivalent discipline, with an expected conferral date between October 2026 – December 2029
Preferred
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
Experience with lean methodologies
