Responsibilities

Design and implement evaluation methodologies for the public health infrastructure grant, selecting appropriate statistical or mixed-methods approaches based on data availability and program goals
Develop and manage data collection tools utilizing Qualtrics and RedCAP software in effort to gather information from local health departments
Create and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) to visualize grant performance metrics, automate data updates, and support real-time decision making
Identify and resolve data quality issues by conducting validation checks, cleaning datasets, and working with the PHIG Lead Evaluator to communicate data collection needs from local public health agencies
Communicate findings from public health infrastructure grant evaluation through reports, presentations, and visualizations, tailoring content to technical and non-technical audiences, including CDC and state partners
Work independently to prioritize and manage multiple evaluation tasks, balancing long-term projects with urgent data requests and reporting deadlines
Work with Lead Evaluator to create targeted reports and presentations specific to public health infrastructure grant evaluation metrics

Required

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 4-6 years of relevant experience
Two to three years of experience working with public health or healthcare data, ideally including surveillance and population health surveys projects
Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (preferably SAS or Python), with the ability to learn others as needed
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (preferably Tableau and/or Power BI)
Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for diverse audiences
