InternISDA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join their Cybersecurity team. This internship provides hands-on experience in supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations, focusing on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Microsoft 365 security tools, and employee security awareness initiatives.

Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining and updating cybersecurity documentation, policies, and procedures related to GRC frameworks
Support basic GRC activities, such as tracking controls, assisting with risk assessments, compliance checks, and third-party risk documentation
Help administer and monitor Microsoft Office 365 security features
Support device management and security configurations using Microsoft Intune
Perform basic security monitoring, log reviews, and assist in identifying potential issues or anomalies under supervision
Participate in security projects and general administrative tasks to support the cybersecurity team
Stay current with basic cybersecurity trends and best practices through guided learning
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of cybersecurity domains (e.g., foundational knowledge of network security, endpoint security, cloud security, identity & access management, incident response, cryptography, and risk management)
Basic knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles, including awareness of common frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance concepts
Practical familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 security and productivity tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune for device management and endpoint security
Experience or strong understanding of Cybersecurity Awareness Training programs and end-user security education best practices
Strong communication skills — ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document work effectively
Exceptional attention to detail — critical for identifying small discrepancies in configurations, logs, or compliance documentation
High level of professionalism — punctual, reliable, ethical, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Self-motivated and able to work independently on assigned tasks when needed
