Mid LevelBlake's Orchard & Cider Mill is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager responsible for coordinating and managing the work of technical employees during general maintenance and routine upkeep of the company’s facilities and production equipment. The role involves planning maintenance activities, monitoring technician productivity, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities in the facilities including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs
Monitor Technician daily productivity by prioritizing and distributing work to maximize labor efficiency
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
Coach, mentor, train and develop maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Manage the maintenance expenses by ensuring best practices in the industry
Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships with contractors and service providers
Track project and job costs by individual, based on hours worked, through the Upkeep management system to ensure accurate allocation to each department and project
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
Must be available to work weekends during the months of September and October to ensure success of our “busy season”
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical components, plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC
Willing to work 50+ hours per week, including Saturdays
Specialized training in the repair and replacement of components
Proficiency in the use of shop tools
A valid drivers license
Ability and willingness to work in excessive heat or cold weather
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
Ability to move frequently, stand for long periods, walk, use hands and legs
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
The associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit
The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
The work environment consists of outdoor and indoor work with exposure to extremes of heat and cold
