Offset Management Coordinator

Responsibilities
Provide a thorough, fair, objective and timely evaluation of all assigned claims by applying relevant policies, practices and processes to ensure consistent, high quality compliance with our contracts while applying critical thinking and sound decision-making
Accurately review and code all social security and non-social security statuses in Navilink in a timely fashion
Effective, timely and accurate management of offsets within claim, including appropriate information requests, accurate claim file documentation and payment system coding. This includes responding to all inquiries on a timely basis
Explain offset rationale and current claim activities clearly, accurately and thoroughly; both verbally and in writing, to claimants, employers and other constituents
Makes referrals on a timely basis to Financial Recovery Unit, Financial Consulting Team, Legal, Offset Consultant, Tax Reporting Group and others as appropriate
Conducts timely and efficient proactive offset reviews as directed
Accountable for maintaining familiarity with specialized workflow requirements and performance standards for any assigned customers
Develops and maintains a good rapport with insured’s, policyholders and all internal and external partners
Participate as an effective team member – identifying best practices, assisting with team and department coverage
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated analytical, research and decision making skills
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated Mathematical aptitude
Customer service orientation
Proven experience in working with internal and external customers
Demonstrated critical thinking abilities
Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of daily work and ability to multi-task
Detail oriented; able to analyze and research contract information
PC skills are essential; ability to operate effectively in an imaged environment
Proven ability to deal effectively with conflict in a professional manner
Ability and commitment to work as an effective team member toward shared goals
Basic understanding of LTD contract provisions
Demonstrated partnership and collaboration skills

College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
