They are seeking a Generator Technician to maintain and repair commercial generators used on cell phone towers, requiring independent self-starters eager to grow in the Telecom industry.

Responsibilities

Maintain, diagnose, and repair generator systems, and perform necessary upgrades or component replacements
Conduct regular maintenance checks and follow blueprints for generator installations or repairs
Install fuel, water supply lines, pumps, wiring, and controls, ensuring proper operation
Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms and be prepared for on-call duties, including phone and email responses
Ensure safety by using protective equipment and participating in safety meetings, being aware of hazards like electric shock and traffic

Required

Minimum of one year of experience with generator and electrical maintenance; two or more years preferred

Familiarity with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations
Ability to comply with OSHA standards for safety, and capable of lifting over 50 pounds and performing physical tasks
Willingness to work flexible hours, drive long distances, and pass a DOT physical
