Responsibilities
Direct daily operations for all facilities, ensuring the high-quality maintenance, safety, and functionality of complex interior and exterior systems, including HVAC/R, refrigeration, solar, and fire/life safety equipment
Maintain ongoing adherence to LEED certification standards and ensure strict compliance with NYC/NYS/Federal codes (FDNY, DOB, DEP) and food safety regulations (AIB, USDA, OSHA, DOH)
Develop and implement robust preventive maintenance programs and emergency preparedness protocols, including fire/security system oversight, safety inspections, and regulatory audits
Serve as the primary representative for all construction, renovation, and expansion projects, managing long-term capital planning, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and onsite project oversight
Manage event spaces, office services, mailroom operations, and physical access control while leading strategic space planning and property development initiatives to support organizational growth
Direct all vendor and contractor relationships, monitoring service levels and performance while managing departmental procurement processes and multi-million dollar capital and operating budgets
Qualification
Required
BA of Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
3+ years of team leadership experience within building or facilities management
Expertise with food facility / cold storage MEPs, Refrigeration, and LEED standards
Strong knowledge of NYC/NYS regulatory compliance (DOH, DOB, FDNY, OSHA, EPA)
Experience managing office space, event space, or other more generalized corporate spaces
