As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will gain real-world experience by assisting with design, drawing development, inspections, and learning CADD software under the supervision of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Gain real-world experience on exciting projects
Assist with design on different bridge elements and gain experience using design software
Assist in drawing development
Support with inspections and site visits to both movable and fixed bridges
Learn to us CADD software and assist with plan development
Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager
Perform other duties as needed

Qualification

CADD software2D CAD softwareEngineering techniquesCommunication skillsMentoring programs

Preferred

Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
Experience in 2D computer-aided design and drafting software programs (Microstation or AutoCAD)
Strong communication skills
This position may require you to drive to work areas/construction sites. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is strongly preferred
Local candidates preferred
