Responsibilities
Lead complex or novel engineering assignments requiring the creation of new or improved techniques, processes, or scientific methods
Drive development of new technologies, products, materials, equipment, and processes that expand the organization’s intellectual property
Assess feasibility and soundness of alternative engineering approaches, products, or equipment
Execute engineering work across technology development, product design, material testing, specification preparation, process studies, research investigations (including animal and clinical studies), and report generation
Coordinate, manage, and document project goals, timelines, and progress; recommend revisions as needed
Deliver high‑quality, high‑impact PDP/TPD system outputs
Provide technical guidance to product and technology teams
Train and mentor technicians and less experienced engineers
Develop and coach others on engineering documentation best practices
Lead engineering teams to achieve project objectives
Integrate quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all applicable quality system requirements
Qualification
Required
BS degree: 8–13 years of experience
MS degree: 6–11 years of experience
PhD: 4–8 years of experience
Strong understanding of test method development processes, including documentation and training
Experience with sterilization and aging protocols for medical devices
Demonstrated ability to work within medical device quality systems to accelerate project delivery
Test Method Process methodologies experience required
Lead test method development for conditioned testing on novel medical devices and sub‑assemblies
