Responsibilities

Work with suppliers to develop, design, and release EPAS mechanicals (gear, assist mechanism)
Communicate with Suppliers, Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Program Management, CAD designers, release analysts, etc., to get changes processed
Problem solve design, manufacturing, and quality issues
Responsible for failure mode avoidance documentation (boundary diagrams, P-diagrams, DFMEA’s, etc.)
Sign-off drawings, DVP’s, PVP’s, DVP&R’s, PVP&R’s

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
2 years of steering systems experience in an automotive domain or similar
Ability to travel and support Ford Motor Company final assembly plants and component supplier plants when required

Preferred

Master's degree in Engineering
Computer-literate (Excel; Word; PowerPoint; etc.)
Well-respected within their organizations
Strong leadership skills – inherent self-starter, self-motivated and strong drive for results
Problem solving skills
Project management skills
Strong oral/written communication skills
Failure mode avoidance skills
