Senior Photonic Test Technician

Responsibilities
Operate and maintain test equipment for optical component and system testing
Contribute to test software to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
Collaborate with engineers to understand testing requirements and develop tailored solutions
Perform hands-on testing of optical devices and systems, analyzing and interpreting results
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test equipment and software, ensuring smooth operations
Document test procedures, results, and findings, maintaining accurate records
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best-practices in the optics laboratory
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, preferably with a focus on optics or photonics
Hands-on experience in an optics laboratory or related field is highly desirable
Basic experience with computer programming, particularly in python, is highly desirable
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic research and development environment
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
