Building Service Technician I (Clay Center, NE)

Responsibilities
Assist with all phases of general and aesthetic maintenance of buildings, e.g. general maintenance of buildings, carpentry, painting, and general repair
Complete work orders as assigned by supervisor and manage in MP system
Coordinate assignments with other personnel as needed
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Report the need for further maintenance or any safety concerns to supervisor
Assist with oversight and monitoring of HVAC systems and with the installation and maintenance of equipment
Assist in campus snow removal
Ensure the proper use and functioning of tools and equipment
Practice preventive maintenance
Assist with the repair and changing of locks
Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting with pest control, mowing, or landscaping
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED plus two years of related trades experience; equivalent education/experience considered
Valid Driver's License with ability to meet driver eligibility requirements
General knowledge in a variety of skilled trade areas including plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry
Ability to operate equipment and tools such as mowers, trimmers, snow equipment, power tools, tractor backhoe, and/or forklift
