CIVIL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

Preparing design plans and supporting calculations
Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
Supporting design analysis through quantitative and qualitative evaluation
Performing engineering studies
Writing technical reports
Developing descriptive figures, charts, and tables
Preparing permit applications and support materials
Assist with project management activities
Execute work in accordance with internal quality procedures, applicable codes, legislation, and industry standards to ensure project compliance and technical excellence
Actively pursue continuous learning opportunities to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and professional competency in structural engineering
Promote and maintain a culture of safety by working in a safe manner at all times and promptly reporting all health and safety incidents or concerns
Perform additional tasks as required to support project goals, team objectives, and company initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a related field
4-8 years of site/civil, stormwater, or other relevant engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain within one year
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Desire to learn new design software programs
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and meet quality standards and deadlines
Active and clear driver's license, including a successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle history check

Preferred

Familiarity with ArcGIS, HydroCAD, and/or Storm and Sanitary Analysis
