Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Models and Simulations Engineer located at the Eglin AFB in Florida. This position supports the Air Force Division and involves operational test campaigns for next generation weapons development.

Become a fully-integrated member of the models and simulations team providing regular and meaningful impact to OT community objectives

Required

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with eligibility for Special Access

3 years' experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), simulation design, weapon system development, operational testing, and evaluation

Bachelor's or Master's degree in systems engineering, or related field

Motivated self-starter that can operate independently without supervision by leveraging user manuals, instructions, or other provided documentation to accomplish tasks

Strong software coding skills in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB; Familiar with FORTRAN

Experienced in pre- and post-mission data analysis to identify issues in simulation inputs, raw test data, or object under test performance

Experienced with (insert M&S name here) and executing Monte Carlo simulations

Experience designing experiments/simulations to achieve a given level of statistical certainty

Familiar with simulation-based acquisition efforts

Ability to understand Operational Test (OT) community requests, translate those requests into a simulation, analyze and understand the resulting test data, and translate actionable results back to the OT community
