Responsibilities

Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead for assigned client accounts
Build trusted, long-term client relationships grounded in clarity, responsiveness, and results
Lead client meetings, presentations, and planning sessions
Translate client goals into clear marketing strategies and actionable plans
Provide thoughtful guidance—not just execution—on marketing decisions
Oversee timelines, scopes, deliverables, and budgets across multiple accounts
Coordinate cross-functional teams (creative, media, analytics, web, social) to ensure work stays on track
Review work for quality, accuracy, and alignment with strategy before it reaches the client
Manage change requests and scope adjustments with confidence and transparency
Lead the development of strategic marketing plans aligned with client goals and business objectives
Translate high-level strategy into integrated campaign frameworks and channel recommendations
Ensure strategic plans are fulfilled consistently across creative, media, digital, and other executional work
Maintain ownership of strategy throughout the lifecycle of an engagement, from planning through delivery
Monitor progress and performance to ensure execution remains aligned with strategic intent
Identify when plans need to evolve and guide adjustments in partnership with clients and internal teams
Connect the dots across initiatives to ensure cohesive, effective marketing efforts
Act as the internal advocate for your clients while balancing agency priorities
Clearly brief internal teams and keep communication flowing throughout projects
Mentor junior account staff and model strong account leadership
Help refine internal processes and improve how work moves through the agency
Identify opportunities to expand or deepen client engagements based on real needs
Partner with leadership on renewals, upsells, and new initiatives
Support/lead proposal development and strategic recommendations
Network/new clients/etc

Required

5–8+ years of experience in leading strategy at a marketing, media, or creative agency
Proven ability to manage complex accounts and multiple projects simultaneously
Strong strategic thinking skills with a solid understanding of digital, media, and creative workflows
Confident communicator—clear, organized, and comfortable leading conversations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred

Experience working with healthcare, nonprofit, institutional, and state/federally funded clients is a plus
