Asset Manager
ASRC Federal is a leading government contractor furthering missions in space, public health and defense. The Asset Manager will provide full-time, on-site property management support for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Information Technology (IT) assets at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities
Serve as the OCIO GFE IT Property Custodian at NASA HQ, responsible for receiving, distributing, tracking, safeguarding, and returning government property in accordance with NASA policies, NPRs, and GSFC/HQ procedures
Conduct on- and off-boarding processes for IT GFE Assets at HQ
Coordinate with Procurement for any new assets ordered to ensure all current IT procurement requirements are met
Record and tag new assets and maintain accurate asset records for all IT Government property not tracked by enterprise service providers in the appropriate NASA property management application(s). This includes, but is not limited to, hardware, hardware maintenance, software, and software licenses
Track all property passes for HQ employees and contractors
Conduct periodic inventories, adhering to the pertinent provisions and procedures of the most current NASA property management regulations
Reassign equipment to end users as needed, which may include preparing center-to-center shipping transfers
Perform excess of equipment within the HQ building, dispositioning according to NASA policies and procedures, including hard drive removals as needed. Interfacing with Property Management at GSFC Greenbelt may be required
Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures for identifying new, changed, and retired assets, asset disposal and implementing corrections to Agency and HQ asset management systems where needed

Qualification
Required
Provide full-time, on-site support at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Experience with NASA Headquarters property management systems
Demonstrated ability to work professionally with senior-level executive staff in a fast-paced environment
Proven customer service skills, with a proactive, responsive, and solution-oriented approach to customer requests
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional, with strong attention to accuracy and accountability
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
Able to sit and enter data into a computer, and view a computer screen, for extended periods of time
Able to walk and stoop down as needed
Must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA HQ. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Some travel may be required
Bachelors degree and four or more years of related experience; seven years or more of related experience in lieu of degree
Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, is preferred
2 or more years of experience at NASA HQ preferred
