End-User Support & Systems Intern
Overton Industries manufactures precision components and tooling for various industries, and they are seeking an IT Intern to provide first-level support and assist with system maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing help desk tickets, and supporting network performance while working closely with the IT team.

Responsibilities
Hardware & software support: First‑line assistance for computers, printers, and mobile devices
Help desk triage: Log, track, and resolve tickets while meeting SLAs
System upkeep: Routine maintenance, software updates, and backup checks
User enablement: Train colleagues on network, hardware, and software basics
Workstation deployment: Configure new PCs, peripherals, and mobile devices
Network assistance: Help maintain LAN/WAN, monitor performance, and support upgrades
Asset control: Conduct audits, track hardware/software inventory, and label equipment
Cybersecurity support: Monitor alerts and respond as directed
Documentation: Update user guides, system configs, and SOPs
Reporting & organization: Maintain Excel trackers, build PowerPoint updates, and manage department files
Collaboration: Participate in meetings, align on weekly objectives, and partner with cross‑functional teams
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline
Preferred
Troubleshooting exposure through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships is a plus
