Responsibilities

Responsible for inspection, monitoring and requesting mechanical, electrical or material support for wells
Follow safety, environmental, and standard operating procedures
Gather and report on all well levels on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Track and log all service and maintenance activity associated with wells, assigned mobile equipment and tools
Estimate and make all fuel orders, track deliveries and report fuel consumption
Deliver oil samples
Perform audits and inspections on equipment and work areas; follow up and ensure completion of items listed on audits
Perform other duties as required

Required

Four (4) years of experience with production and material handling equipment
Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude
The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety
Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
Employee will be required to work in environments which may include exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms
Employee may be required to work rotating shifts, overtime, and respond to call outs in a 24/7/365 operation
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam
Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing
Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation
Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going drug and alcohol testing, as allowed by applicable laws

Preferred

High School diploma or GED
Tailings dam operations experience
Knowledge of Wikieup pump station operations
