Lawyer of the Day Resource Navigation Manager
RentHelpPGH is an organization focused on eviction prevention through its Lawyer of the Day program. The LOTD Manager is responsible for leading the team, enhancing operational processes, and expanding the program to serve more courts while ensuring effective resource navigation for tenants facing eviction.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations of RentHelpPGH’s LOTD resource navigation and outreach program, ensuring efficient coverage of courts and consistent execution of client cases across court-based and remote work
Lead the planning and execution of LOTD expansion from five to eight-ten courts, including operational readiness, staffing coordination, and process adaptation, recognizing that LOTD may take different operational forms depending on court context, partner capacity, and community need
Work closely with executive director, staff, and LOTD partner agencies to design and implement creative responses to challenges faced in eviction courts
Oversee case assignment processes and outreach pacing to ensure effective and timely tenant engagement
As needed, operate as a LOTD or Court Resource Navigator in assisting clients with resource navigation following all LOTD standard procedures
Maintain and continuously refine the infrastructure, systems, and workflows that support LOTD operations
Coordinate closely with Housing Stabilization Center, mediation, and legal partners on overlapping cases and workflows
Ensure compliance with RentHelpPGH and partners programmatic, HR, and safety policies
Directly supervise LOTD staff, providing clear expectations, feedback, and performance oversight
Work with leadership to define the program vision within RentHelpPGH and AHSC and inspire team to pursue all projects, activities, and goals in alignment with the organization's and program’s overarching mission
Ensure accurate completion of staff timesheets, PTO, and sick leave reporting
Plan and manage annual performance evaluations
Address performance concerns in collaboration with the HR Director and/or Executive Director
Maintain documentation related to staff goals, feedback, and professional development
Oversee HubSpot configuration, logic, maintenance, and effective use across the LOTD program in coordination with all other RentHelpPGH Standard Operating Procedures
Ensure reports, dashboards, and lists are accurate, maintained, and actively used, including: Outreach activity and outcomes, Hearing results and case outcomes, Rental assistance connections, Missing or incomplete data tracking
Produce regular LOTD reports to inform leadership, partners, and advocacy efforts
Track trends, anomalies, and emerging patterns to support program improvement and policy insights
Collaborate with internal data staff on CRM transitions and system enhancements
Maintain proactive communication with Magisterial District Judge offices served by LOTD
Serve as RentHelpPGH’s primary LOTD liaison to partner agencies
Organize and facilitate regular LOTD partner meetings
Educate partners on current program capacities, processes, and constraints
Develop and support LOTD communication plans and internal updates
Lead problem-solving using RentHelpPGH’s framework: Identify → Reflect → Assess → Analyze → Propose
Use critical thinking and problem solving to make timely decisions in ambiguous and sometimes tense situations while balancing collaboration and forward momentum
Support team through change and transition
Identify opportunities for efficiency, resource alignment, and program growth
Contribute to internal learning, planning, and sustainability efforts
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of demonstrated experience managing staff, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues
Proven experience overseeing a program or operational function with multiple moving parts, competing priorities, and external dependencies
Demonstrated experience expanding or innovating successful social service programs
Strong programmatic thinking skills, including the ability to break down complex problems, anticipate downstream impacts, and design workable solutions
Comfort making decisions and moving work forward in the face of ambiguity, incomplete information, or resistance
High level of technical aptitude, including experience working within CRM systems (HubSpot strongly preferred) and using data to manage operations and performance
Ability to translate strategy and vision into clear processes and day-to-day execution
Strong communication skills and collaborative leadership style
