The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects, including both new development and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
Leading the technical design for modernization of legacy systems
Coordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups
Making changes in multiple systems in real time to enable changes requested by user group
Implementing technical solutions
Developing tax processing system components and maintaining existing processing systems
Supporting production tasks including analysis of issue, proposing and implementing solutions for defect resolution
Coordinating with development team on development activities and integration testing
Developing technical design documents and program specifications
Guiding requirements gathering sessions
Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work
Coding and performing unit and integration tests of programming assignments
Writing and tuning SQL
Supporting user testing efforts
Performance tune new and existing applications
Mentoring less experienced staff
Qualification
Required
Experience in software development and maintenance tasks
Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Ability to lead technical design for modernization of legacy systems
Experience coordinating technical solutions among various technical support groups
Proficiency in making real-time changes in multiple systems
Experience in implementing technical solutions
Ability to develop tax processing system components
Experience in maintaining existing processing systems
Ability to support production tasks including analysis of issues and proposing solutions
Experience coordinating with development teams on development activities and integration testing
