Responsibilities
Support employee recruitment, hiring, terminations, transfers, training, and promotions by providing recommendations and coordinating related activities
Collaborate with the HR Supervisor on strategic planning related to human resources initiatives
Assist with HR communications and employee relations matters, escalating issues as appropriate through the HR Supervisor
Conduct and support new hire orientation programs
Support initiatives related to employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
Act as a resource to management and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters, in coordination with the HR Supervisor
Assist with ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations related to HR, safety, and training
Qualification
Required
Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based organization
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Proficient in PC usage and Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
Human resources: 4 years (Required)
Preferred
Some college coursework in a related field preferred
1–3 years of human resources experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
