Senior BI Developer

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Senior BI Developer to provide expert-level business intelligence and data analysis support for the Health Data Compass and the Anschutz research community. This role involves delivering complex datasets, developing reports and visualizations, and designing scalable BI solutions in a HIPAA-compliant cloud environment.

Ability to support the development of BI dashboards and reports, and data analytic initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in a health science-related field (e.g., biostatistics, epidemiology, etc.) or a related field from an accredited institution
At least four (4) years of professional-level experience in a healthcare-related environment working with enterprise data warehouses, including data profiling, data quality assessments, data analysis/reporting, data set curation, or equivalent experience
At least two (2) years of SQL programming experience
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution

Preferred

Epic Certified in Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, and/or Clinical Data Model
Master's degree in a health science-related field (e.g., biostatistics, epidemiology, etc.) or a related field from an accredited institution
Experience managing terminology mapping documentation, data profiling, and data mapping documentation
Experience in standardized clinical code systems (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm) and common data models (OMOP)
Experience working with secure web platforms for building and managing databases (e.g., REDCAP)
Experience working in an academic core service or support service
