Responsibilities
Define and execute the 1–3–5 year roadmap: mixed-signal CMOS architecture → prototype ICs → tape-out → wafer test → packaged prototypes → OEM evaluation
Architect ultra-low-power multi-modal sensing (e.g., pressure/humidity/acceleration) and the dual-quantization converter chain
Lead tape-outs (e.g., TSMC 0.18 µm-class nodes), including analog layout oversight, DFM, and characterization plans
Own packaging strategy, lab bring-up, validation, and reliability/test planning
Drive IP strategy: invention capture, claims shaping, patent filings, and freedom-to-operate coordination
Establish fit-for-market quality basics (e.g., ISO 9001 processes, RoHS compliance) as we move toward OEM engagement
Qualification
Required
8+ years in mixed-signal CMOS / sensor IC design (and/or MEMS sensor integration)
Multiple tape-outs as a lead contributor, with strong command of analog layout, low-power methodologies, and lab validation
Experience with ΔΣ modulators and/or SAR ADCs; familiarity with switched-capacitor front-ends and clocking schemes
Practical knowledge of sensor packaging, wafer-level test/characterization, and production handoff considerations
Track record of IP/patent participation and technical leadership in small, fast-moving teams
Founder mindset: high ownership, resilience, and willingness to operate across design–test–partner conversations
