Responsibilities
Manage all phases of the e-discovery lifecycle, including data preservation, collection, processing, review, and production
Develop, test, and implement Excel-based analytical tools, formulas, and VBA/VBS scripts to support all phases of litigation
Construct and refine Relativity and dtSearch searches, email threading, and analytics to optimize document review workflows
Analyze large datasets in complex litigation—supporting all phases of the case, from early exposure assessment through discovery, trial preparation, and settlement
Coordinate with outside vendors (e.g., Consilio, Epiq) on data hosting, processing, and production deliverables
Perform technical and legal quality control on document productions, including Bates numbering, metadata verification, and privilege review tracking
Troubleshoot and resolve minor IT and software issues related to litigation support tools and review platforms
Provide guidance on discovery strategy, proportionality, and technology-assisted review methods
Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and discovery protocols for internal and client use
Identify opportunities for workflow automation and efficiency improvements across the firm’s litigation practice
Qualification
Required
J.D. required; (AND / OR) active bar license required (any state)
Minimum 7+ years in litigation support, e-discovery, or complex commercial litigation
Experience with Relativity, dtSearch, or comparable review platforms
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (including formulas, pivot tables, macros, and VBA scripting)
Ability to resolve light IT issues (Windows environments)
Experience with generative AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance efficiency and workflow automation
U.S. Jurisdiction in Illinois (for the Chicago office)
Proof of licensure in good standing in Illinois, California, Michigan, and/or New York is required
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written communication and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and vendors
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Prompt engineering or generative AI certification/training demonstrating applied skill in leveraging AI tools for workflow optimization and legal technology
