InternEmery Sapp & Sons is seeking a motivated Health & Safety Intern to join their team, providing an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. The intern will collaborate with project teams, assist in health and safety management, and gain practical knowledge on construction sites.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams to assist in the planning, execution, and management of Health & Safety on our construction projects
Spend time on construction sites to observe and participate in construction activities, gaining practical knowledge
Assist in project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules
Acquire a deeper understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety procedures
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure project goals are met
Participate in troubleshooting and finding solutions to construction-related challenges
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a relevant degree program or Technical School (Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, etc.)
Strong academic performance
A passion for the construction industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn
A proactive attitude
Punctuality and reliability are essential
Must be legally eligible to work in United States
Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred
Basic understanding of construction principles and practices is a plus but not mandatory
