They are seeking a GIS Data Technician I to assist with GIS related mapping, analysis, and reporting, focusing on creating and updating pipeline development maps and maintaining database information.

Responsibilities
Assist with GIS related mapping, analysis and reporting
Create and update several pipeline development maps
Update data and maps to servers and websites
Plot maps and maintain database information
Conduct verification of records
Comply with mapping-related code requirements and corporate Operating Procedures
Assist engineers and designers in creating and plotting construction design drawings
Prepare various maps, reports, and ad-hoc queries using tools including ArcGIS and MS-Office
Collect data from source materials, interpret, and enter the data into a relationship database
Perform as-built editing in the ArcGIS software’s ArcSDE database
Validate and verify data integration into GIS, with report generation
Develop technical guidelines and work flow enhancements
Maintain centerline data for other mapping systems with support for GPS units and field
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Geography, GIS, or equivalent experience
Good understanding of database concepts, GIS, Photogrammetric processes and Cartographic standards
Preferred
3+ years pipeline experience
1+ years in the geospatial industry
Experience with GPS equipment and associated software desired
Some ESRI ArcGIS or AutoCAD Experience
