Senior Business Systems Analyst - Supply Chain Business Operations & Systems
The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to define, develop, and implement enhanced business processes at the enterprise level. This role involves utilizing information technology to improve business operations and provide reporting and analysis in support of academic and business environments.

Responsibilities
Designs, develops, & continuously improves reporting, data models, and KPI’s, documenting existing business processes using available applications
Develops or modifies processes to solve complex business issues utilizing current information systems; designs reports to meet requirements by creating and/or enhancing options available in the data warehouse
Conducts business systems analysis and design, data modeling, process flow modeling, and process reengineering
Recommends and initiates integrated and automated business functions and systems to support the current and future business environment, working independently or with the appropriate information technology staff
Develops and implements plans to support the utilization of data and information technology in the business environment, including design, testing, communication, user training, and ongoing support activities
Trains users and/or deploys new procedures and systems, which may include on-site training, troubleshooting, and support to calibrate workflows
Develops high-level project definition and cost assessment of projects
Translates high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications through collaboration with users and/or customers
Designs and develops plans for new or enhanced business systems. Leads and participates in user testing and coordinates results with appropriate information technology staff
Partners with customers to facilitate oral and written communications, including the design and delivery of presentations
Provides guidance and advice to team members
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure
Performs related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and three years of related experience
Preferred
A supply chain management, management information systems, accounting, or finance degree is preferred
Proficiency in data visualization, actionable intelligence, and utilizing reporting & data manipulation tools daily (e.g., Excel, MS Visio, SSMS, Azure SQL, Azure ML, & Power BI)
Oracle/PeopleSoft FMS and/or Epic experience
Experience in OR/Procedural Areas, Supply Chain, and/or Hospital Operations
