Responsibilities
Work closely with and assist Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers to prepare reports, design documents, and calculations
Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel
Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details
Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams
Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines
Ability to solve problems using sound engineering judgment, creativity, and innovation
Strong work ethic and motivation to learn
Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
Working knowledge of software programs including AutoCAD MEP and Revit
Working knowledge of heat transfer calculations
Commitment to a culture of safety
The candidate should have the ability to report to the office in Albany, NY
