Responsibilities
Source pre-owned vehicles through auctions, dealer trades, direct purchases, and online marketplaces
Evaluate vehicles using market data, vehicle history reports, and physical inspections to determine value and purchase price
Monitor market trends, auction performance, and pricing tools to ensure competitive and profitable buying decisions
Negotiate purchase terms with sellers, wholesalers, and auction representatives
Work closely with dealership leadership, service, and reconditioning teams to align inventory with sales goals
Set target acquisition costs to support retail pricing and gross profit objectives
Track inventory performance, aging, and turn rates to optimize buying strategy
Ensure accurate documentation, titles, and compliance with dealership and state requirements
Maintain strong relationships with auction partners, wholesalers, and industry contacts
