Responsibilities
Learn about the practice of law in a non-profit organization setting with a focus on healthcare advocacy and operations
Learn to differentiate between the regulatory requirements and operations of a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organization
Practice legal skills such as legal research, legal writing, and drafting policies, procedures, and policy white papers
Conduct legal research across a wide variety of substantive areas related to healthcare and reproductive justice matters such as AI, privacy, nonprofit compliance, Medicare compliance, and other matters with federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory bodies
Producing high-quality written communication for different constituencies both internal and external to the organization
Other responsibilities, as assigned
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in law school and actively pursuing a J.D. with at least 1 year of law school complete
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based applications
Preferred
An interest in policy and legal advocacy preferably within the healthcare space
