Responsibilities
Develop innovative solutions to mechanical and thermal challenges
Design mechanical enclosures for high-power compute servers
Perform detailed analysis and thermal simulation
Develop advanced thermal solutions to meet cooling needs of critical components in the system
Work with vendors and manufacturing teams to support and resolve field and manufacturing issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Hardware on product definition and requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in thermal management and testing, or Masters + 3 years of related experience in thermal management and testing, or PhD + 0 years of related experience
Experience in thermal testing for computer networking equipment
Experience in performing thermal simulation using tools such as Flotherm, Icepack, or Celsius EC
Preferred
Experience in the thermal/mechanical design of computer/networking products
Knowledge in manufacturing tooling for sheet metal, plastic, and die-casting
Airflow Windtunnel testing experience
Experience in use of 3D MCAD tools such as Solidworks, NX, or Creo
