Responsibilities
Perform airfoil design and computational fluid dynamics analyses for commercial, space, and military engine programs
Execute all phases of the aero-design process, from conceptual design through detailed analysis
Develop airfoil and flow-path geometry using CAD tools
Conduct computational fluid dynamics analyses to evaluate aerodynamic performance and optimize designs
Identify and resolve complex aerodynamic technical challenges
Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new or modified assemblies and components
Document changes through a formal engineering change notification process
Support testing and correlate analytical results with experimental data
Collaborate with a team on a diverse and technically challenging set of advanced programs
Other job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, while adhering to company policies and standards
Ability to make technical presentations internally and to customers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
BS/MS/PhD in applicable engineering field
0-2 years of related work experience
