Junior IT Systems Administrator
Children's Hope Alliance is seeking a Junior IT Systems Administrator to assist in supporting the agency's technology systems and applications. The role involves providing user support, managing network operations, and ensuring technology effectively meets the agency's goals.

Responsibilities
User Support- provide 1st level technical support to all agency staff for computers, printers, copiers, network connectivity, software applications, desk phones, cell phones, alarm system, video camera systems, peripherals and other technology
Help Desk Support- assist IT Systems Administrator by providing 1st level technical support via telephone and remote access to staff in a timely manner to improve response time and efficiency and reduced travel costs
Assist IT Systems Administrator by handling inquiries and concerns while providing corrective measures to all staff
Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed
Record, track, escalate, update calls, and close tickets through problem management software
Responsible for assisting with lifecycle management of workstation hardware and software
On Call Support- On a rotational basis provide after hours emergency support to agency staff and monitor of the agency data center software, equipment, power and cooling systems
Technology Provision- assist IT Systems Administrator with configuring and deploying new and replacement technology to users as provided
Technology Training- assist with training to equip staff for proficient use of technology and applications. This training should include instruction in appropriate use, and privacy, security, and software compliance
Data Center Operations- as assigned by the IT Team Lead, perform installations, upgrades, and repairs for a range of IT equipment
Assist IT Systems Administrator with service, support, and maintaining the core computing infrastructure, including data and voice servers, network storage systems, switching systems, security systems, firewalls, routers, access circuits, voice systems, and appliances
Assist with securing and monitoring the agency’s local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN) computer networks for capacity, un-authorized access, and performance issues
Asist IT Systems Administrator with ensuring all network servers, network data stores, user profiles, user documents, and other data are backed up according to agency policies and procedures
Network Administration-as assigned by the IT Team Lead, maintain user accounts, user access to network resources, applications, and systems, and user access to web and cloud services to assure agency policy and regulatory compliance
Inventory Control- maintain an accurate and inventory of all technology related inventory including location assignment, serial number, use, warranty and lease expiration, and software licensing
Emerging Technologies- Stay abreast of emerging software, hardware and operating system trends in network, workstation imaging, security, and peripherals, evaluate new technology in these areas for its possible use within the agency
At the IT Team Lead's direction, assist in planning and performing system administration and network infrastructure projects
Performs special projects or tasks as assigned by IT Team Lead
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with an emphasis on computer science or Information Technology
One years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires the knowledge and ability to plan, coordinate and provide the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of information systems hardware and software
Candidate should have zero to one year of experience in the configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats
Requires effective communication, decision making, interpersonal, leadership and professionalism skills and abilities
Employee must be able to operate a vehicle for job duties, and keep a valid NC drivers license with insurance
