Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant

Novia Infotech is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant for ServiceNow to lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization across various ServiceNow modules. This role requires expertise in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and involves solution architecture, hands-on development, and client advisory, emphasizing governance and platform scalability.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and delivery of ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM solutions, including:
CMDB
Service Mapping
CSDM
Event Management, Discovery, Cloud Management & Orchestration
Define architectural vision, roadmap, and best practices aligned with client objectives
Act as SME and trusted advisor for ServiceNow capabilities and process automation
Implement ITIL processes in ServiceNow:
Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge
Lead multiple end-to-end ITOM implementations, including:
Discovery
Service Mapping
Event Management
CMDB / CSDM alignment
Design and manage CMDB architecture, extensions, and lifecycle governance
Develop and customize:
Discovery patterns, schedules, probes, sensors, and event rules
Workflows, UI policies, forms, notifications, reports
Data imports and transformation maps
Build custom applications/modules using ServiceNow App Engine
Implement advanced process automation and optimization
Architect and implement integrations with:
LDAP / Active Directory
SAP
Enterprise monitoring tools
Custom APIs and CMDB tools
Hands-on scripting using:
JavaScript (ServiceNow scripting)
PowerShell, Python, Perl
WMI, SSH, XPath, SNMP
Optimize ServiceNow environments for:
Performance
Usability
Cost efficiency
Establish governance for:
CMDB integrity
Data quality
Access controls
Security & compliance
Lead upgrades, patching, and enhancements aligned with ServiceNow releases
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
Ensure adoption of coding standards and best practices
Produce architecture diagrams, solution documentation, and implementation guides
Engage with clients to present recommendations, roadmaps, and design decisions

Required

10+ years of experience in ServiceNow architecture and implementation
Strong hands-on expertise in ITSM
Strong hands-on expertise in ITOM
Strong hands-on expertise in CMDB
Strong hands-on expertise in Service Mapping
Strong hands-on expertise in CSDM
Experience leading multiple end-to-end ServiceNow implementations
Strong scripting and integration experience
Excellent stakeholder communication and consulting skills
Ability to travel up to 25% as required

Preferred

ServiceNow Certifications (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, App Engine)
Experience with large enterprise or multi-client environments
Strong background in ITIL governance models
