Responsibilities

Design and develop new features and systems
Collaborate early and often with your teammates and other stakeholders to understand the scope of features
Help drive the creation of clear stories and acceptance criteria
Contribute to quality through clean coding and pattern usage
Write unit and other automated tests
Pair program and code review your team’s work
Document and communicate the things you have learned and built
Continue to be responsible for your code once it's in production

Required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention-to-detail
The ability to multitask and remain focused in a demanding environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills – with strong presentation capabilities for technical leaders of the team
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical experience
3+ years of software development experience
One or more server-side scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP)
Comfortable working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment
Familiarity with one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, etc…) and solid knowledge of SQL
Client-side application development in HTML, CSS, Javascript
Experience with building for different audiences e.g. internationalization, accessibility
Interest in learning new technologies such as AI “prompt-driven development” and languages as necessary
Customer focused approach
Expert ability to debug code

Preferred

Experience with Python
Experience with MySQL and Elasticsearch
Experience with React and TypeScript
Experience with AWS
Mobile development experience
E-commerce experience
