Purchasing Coordinator

Confidential company is a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution organization, and they are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support their procurement and supply chain operations. The role involves coordinating purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring inventory availability to meet production and customer demand.

Responsibilities

Create, process, and track purchase orders in NetSuite
Coordinate with vendors on pricing, lead times, order confirmations, and delivery schedules
Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor data, and item master information in NetSuite
Monitor open orders, backorders, and shortages; follow up to ensure on-time delivery
Support sourcing initiatives and assist with RFQs, price comparisons, and vendor evaluations
Collaborate with production, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure material availability
Assist with inventory planning, reorder points, and demand-driven purchasing
Reconcile receiving discrepancies and resolve invoice/PO variances
Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
Run purchasing, vendor performance, and inventory reports from NetSuite
Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost variances, and inventory turns
Maintain documentation for purchasing policies, approvals, and compliance
Act as a liaison between vendors, operations, accounting, and logistics teams
Support contract compliance and pricing accuracy
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

Required

2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination experience
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (or similar ERP systems)
Strong Excel skills and data accuracy
Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred

Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or related field
Experience with MRP, inventory planning, or demand forecasting
Understanding of Incoterms, freight, and lead time management
