Executive Assistant
SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. They are seeking an Executive Assistant to coordinate meetings, manage schedules, and provide general administrative support while ensuring efficiency and quality in various projects.

Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, make appointments, arrange travel, screen and delegate incoming calls, and provide other general assistance as required
Perform potentially confidential and complex administrative duties involving Outlook, Teams, Confluence, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint including, typing letters, creating/updating spreadsheets, creating/maintaining confluence pages and compiling presentations
Exhibit a strong attention to detail, ability to adapt to daily schedules and routines, and a focus on efficiency without sacrificing quality
Provide project management and maintain momentum on high-priority projects, including but not limited to, staffing and resource planning, budget planning and invoicing, onboarding new department members, space planning, and strategy development for efficiencies among teams
Manage SpaceX site visits by team members and external stakeholders to ensure an excellent experience. Duties include but are not limited to: submitting visitor security information, reserving meeting room space, arranging catering, compiling presentation materials and gifts
Provide general support for various departments including but not limited to: Sales and Satellite Policy
Organize, manage, set up and attend events including but not limited to: team gatherings, customer events, SpaceX’s presence at conferences and associated events
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of administrative experience in an office setting
This position is based in Washington, DC and requires being onsite full-time – hybrid and remote work will not be considered
Must be willing to travel to other company sites, vendors, and customers as necessary, up to 25% travel
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
Preferred
Experience supporting a high-level executive in a fast paced, start-up environment
5+ years of professional experience and strong computer literacy
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications and project management software tools
Ability to participate in developing project scope, managing project schedules, and following up with stakeholders appropriately
Superior organizational skills including excellent written and verbal communication
Initiative in resolving problems and an independent worker, with enthusiasm and an energetic approach to work
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously
