Responsibilities
Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience
Resolve complex accounting issues to ensure financial accuracy
Assess and implement new accounting standards, ensuring Aritzia’s financial statements and external reporting comply with accounting and regulatory standards
Analyze accounting implications of material contracts and agreements, working collaboratively with Business Support partners to ensure complex financial transactions are processed accurately and on time
Meet regulatory reporting requirements while minimizing Aritzia’s risk exposure
Provide analysis and reporting to executive management and Board
Govern the financial data that builds our financial reporting
Process financial transactions accurately and on time
Ensure compliance in accordance with accounting policies
Qualification
Required
Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in Financial Reporting & Accounting
CPA designation

The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
