Responsibilities
End-to-end ownership of hardware development programs from concept through production launch, managing EVT → DVT → PVT/PDT → GA milestones across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams
Creation and management of integrated hardware project schedules that align hardware, firmware, software, validation, and factory testing timelines to ensure on-time, production-ready releases
Leadership of cross-functional build readiness and NPI activities, including prototype planning, pilot builds, production ramp, and operational handoff to manufacturing and operations
Direct partnership with manufacturing and supply chain organizations to ensure contract manufacturer readiness, tooling availability, capacity planning, and material procurement
Proactive identification and mitigation of hardware program risks, including component shortages, validation failures, manufacturing constraints, and regulatory/compliance dependencies
Facilitation of formal technical and operational reviews, including design reviews, build readiness reviews, and post-build retrospectives to drive alignment, accountability, and rapid issue resolution
Portfolio-level program governance and executive communication, providing clear reporting on schedules, dependencies, costs, risks, and deliverables across multiple concurrent hardware initiatives
Qualification
Required
7+ years of hands-on project/program management experience leading technology and hardware-focused initiatives, including ownership of complex development and delivery lifecycles
Proven ability to manage end-to-end hardware product development, coordinating mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and manufacturing workstreams from prototyping through production launch
Deep working knowledge of EVT, DVT, PVT/PDT, and ramp-to-production phases, with demonstrated experience aligning validation, certification, and operational readiness milestones
Strong cross-functional leadership and facilitation skills, enabling effective collaboration with engineering, product, operations, suppliers, and business stakeholders without direct authority
Experience partnering with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and external vendors to ensure tooling readiness, material availability, quality standards, and schedule adherence
Advanced program governance and delivery discipline, leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project to manage dependencies, risks, budgets, and executive reporting
Highly organized, self-directed program leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, capable of driving multiple hardware programs in fast-paced, agile environments
