Chiller Technician
Pueblo is seeking a highly skilled Chiller Technician who is capable of diagnosing and repairing all levels of HVAC equipment, including large and sophisticated chiller plants. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing unitary products, boilers, chillers, control valves, and heat exchangers, while also providing training and expanding business opportunities.

Responsibilities
Identify, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations via dispatcher:
Unitary products [from 1-ton mini splits to 50-ton package units] Trouble shoot VFDs, control issues, change compressors perform Maintenance
Boilers Perform combustion analysis, troubleshoot water and air flow issues. Repair and verify correct operation of boilers
Chillers Diagnose Compressor, motor and starter issues with Wye Delta, AFD and solid state starters, Tear down and rebuild as necessary compressors, oil pumps and starters. Perform leak searches on low pressure chillers, Megha-Ohm compressor motors. Experience in Turbor Core and Centrifugal compressors a plus. Trouble shoot water flow issues control issues related to chiller operation
Control Valves Trouble shoot signal and control issues related to control valves
Heat Exchangers Trouble shoot water flow issues and determine deficiencies in performance issues. Tear down, clean and reassemble with new gaskets
Provide all information from each service call to the dispatcher before leaving job site and document work by accurately completing paperwork and maintaining files
Provide initial and follow-up training at customer sites
Expand business by discussing other services available
Must be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Computer skills are a must; working knowledge of Microsoft / Word / Excel / Outlook
Valid driver’s license, pre-hire drug screen required and ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Qualification
Required
At least two certifications in the repair of chiller plants such as McQuay or Daiken
Over 5 years field experience plus specialized training
Ability to diagnose and repair all levels of HVAC equipment
Troubleshoot VFDs, control issues, change compressors, perform maintenance on unitary products
Perform combustion analysis, troubleshoot water and air flow issues, repair and verify correct operation of boilers
