Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior SCADA / Ignition Engineer to design, develop, and support industrial automation and monitoring systems. The role focuses on SCADA system design, integration, optimization, and troubleshooting, collaborating with controls, OT, and IT teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems using Ignition (Perspective, Vision, Gateway, Tags, Alarming, Reporting)
Architect scalable and secure SCADA solutions for industrial environments
Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, historians, and enterprise systems
Develop real-time dashboards, alarms, and reporting solutions
Configure and optimize OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, DNP3, and other industrial protocols
Support system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning
Implement cybersecurity best practices for OT/ICS environments
Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis
Collaborate with controls engineers, IT teams, and operations stakeholders
Create technical documentation, standards, and best practices

Required

7+ years of experience in SCADA / industrial automation
Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation)
Proficiency in PLC integration (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, GE, etc.)
Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, DNP3)
Solid understanding of industrial networking and OT architectures
Experience with scripting (Python, SQL) within Ignition
Knowledge of historian databases, alarms, and reporting
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
