Responsibilities
Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring they remain productive and time-boxed
Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and resolve "blockers"—from technical hurdles to regulatory bottlenecks—to keep the team moving
Healthcare Compliance Advocacy: Ensure that Agile processes align with HIPAA regulations, data privacy standards, and clinical safety protocols
Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with Product Owners and clinical stakeholders to prioritize the product backlog and translate medical requirements into actionable user stories
Coach & Mentor: Foster a Lean-Agile mindset within the team, helping them embrace self-organization and continuous improvement
Track Metrics: Use tools like Jira or Azure DevOps to monitor velocity, burndown charts, and cycle times to provide transparency to leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field
6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
Proven experience working within the healthcare industry (e.g., EHR/EMR systems, clinical workflows, or HealthTech)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)
Proficient in Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile management software
Agile: 4 years (Required)
Preferred
Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance and HITRUST requirements
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in a large healthcare organization
Background in software development or data engineering
Strong conflict-resolution skills and the ability to manage diverse personalities (engineers, doctors, and business leads)
