GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT I OPS - 60930281

The State of Florida is seeking a Government Operations Consultant I OPS within the Department of Children and Families. In this role, you will be responsible for processing religious exemptions and home registration applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing guidance to stakeholders across Florida.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Process and review religious exemptions and home registration applications in accordance with state regulations
Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Navigate complex situations, analyze issues, and provide clear, concise documentation and guidance
Communicate and collaborate with providers across the state of Florida to address inquiries and ensure a smooth application process
Maintain organized records and track application progress to support efficiency and transparency
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve application discrepancies or compliance concerns
Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices
Assist with data entry, reporting, and generating summaries for internal and external use
Ability to travel for meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Customer service skills to engage with providers and other stakeholders professionally
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management systems
Ability to travel for meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Preferred

1–2 years of experience in childcare, child care licensing, early childhood education, or related field
