Responsibilities
Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the software engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's overall technical and business strategy. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineering managers, developers, and testers. Provide guidance and support for career development, ensuring the team's success and growth
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the software development roadmap. Drive the adoption of best practices, methodologies, and technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity
Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Ensure that architecture and coding standards are maintained and that projects are delivered on time and within scope
Collaboration: Work closely with product management, UX/UI design, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of software components. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and problem-solving
Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the software engineering team
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust testing processes to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality software. Foster a culture of test-driven development and continuous integration
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical and project risks. Implement effective strategies for risk management and issue resolution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within software engineering, with a track record of successful project delivery
Experience in healthcare technology is a plus
Strong technical background with expertise in software development methodologies, architecture, data structures and Security compliance regulations
Proficiency in Java, AWS, and Database development
Experience integrating APIs and services into production systems
Exceptional leadership and people management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment with accountability
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to align technical strategies with overall business objectives
Experience with Agile development methodologies and a commitment to implementing Agile best practices
Demonstrated ability to apply AI and LLM capabilities thoughtfully, balancing innovation with reliability, security, and user trust
