Full Time Lecturer, Mechanical and Mechatronics Technology and Engineering
The California State University is seeking a Full-Time Lecturer in Mechanical and Mechatronics Technology and Engineering within the BioResource and Agricultural Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and supervising student projects, while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Teach undergraduate level courses in Agriculture Machinery Safety, Ag Power and Machinery Management, Mechanical Systems Analysis, Agricultural Systems Management, and Equipment Engineering
Teach engineering topics including Solid Works and shop safety
Supervise undergraduate senior projects
Manage a BRAE student club
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in a relevant agricultural engineering discipline, or a related field is required
Applicants must have a combination of teaching, industry, and practical experience in the design, fabrication, operation, and management of agricultural equipment
Must demonstrate excellence in teaching, effective communication, and interpersonal skills
The ability to be a productive team player and to interact well with peers, students, industry, government agencies, and the general public is essential
Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, laboratory based instruction, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings is required
Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable, and supportive learning environments is required
Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interests in undergraduate teaching are required
Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required
Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to communicate with industry supporters to secure external funding
Preferred
Industry experience in project management and fluid hydraulics is preferred
This position requires an individual who has demonstrated the ability to provide undergraduate students with hands-on engineering education in a multidisciplinary, systems-based environment
