Responsibilities
Must follow Ahlstroms manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper
Process and reconcile general ledger entries, journal entries, and intercompany transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures including accruals and account reconciliations
Supports accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and internal controls
Prepare financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Maintain documentation for audits and support audit requests
Participate in continuous improvement initiative within the FSC
Record, monitor and track fixed assets
IFRS 16 – Track leases in Fatman and provide monthly reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Strong GAAP skills required, familiarity with IFRS a plus
Previous accounting experience
Strong analytical, financial systems, and communication skills
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred
Paper industry or manufacturing experience desired
Specific knowledge of financial systems: JDE & SAP (experience strongly preferred but not required), HFM, Fatman and Microsoft office tools
Advanced Excel skills preferred
