Research Analyst

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis of audience data to uncover market trends, viewer preferences, audience flow patterns, and identify growth opportunities
Utilize tools to access linear TV ratings, as well as digital and social media metrics, demonstrating a strong understanding of how to apply these data sources to support assigned research tasks and strategic initiatives
Manage multiple research projects concurrently, effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
Track and report on cross-platform consumption behavior across linear, digital, and social media platforms for Spanish-language content, particularly Telemundo properties
Create compelling data visualizations and presentations using PowerPoint and Tableau, transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders
Support sports content tracking and reporting, including analyzing performance of live events, creating executive summaries, benchmarking against competitors, and identifying key trends in Spanish-language sports viewership
Collaborate with and report directly to the Research Manager, supporting additional assignments and ad hoc requests as needed

Required

Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university
Minimum 1 year experience desired at a broadcast/cable network, agency, media research supplier or digital media company; or other corporate experience grounded in strategic thinking and analysis
Proficient written and verbal communication in English
Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office applications including Excel (pivot tables and macros a plus) and PowerPoint, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Domo

Preferred

Experience with Nielsen ratings software
Experience querying large datasets with SQL or other similar data analysis tool
Knowledge of Adobe Reports & Analytics, Analysis Workspace, and Report Builder a plus
General knowledge or interest in sports, particularly soccer and major televised events, as this role supports high-visibility sports programming across Telemundo platforms
Proven experience in strategic thinking and analysis
Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment
Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within an organization
Exhibits attention to detail and has effective time management skills
Demonstrated fast learner and proactive problem solver
