The Office of the Attorney General of Florida is responsible for representing the state in civil and criminal courts. They are seeking a Program Administrator to assist with the development and operations of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant program, providing management consultancy and conducting program analysis.

Responsibilities

Provides assistance on all matters pertaining to development and operations of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant program. Interprets regulations and policies for program administrators, voluntary agencies and community groups
Provides management consultant services and assistance in order to improve administrative/management capabilities and operational procedures
Conducts analysis of program operations from both an administrative and programmatic perspective
Assists with the development of recommendations for automation enhancements, legislative initiatives, agency policies, and record keeping systems for the VOCA program
Keeps abreast of VOCA-related trends and developments in other states
Recommends the initiation of projects and develops new or revised methods, forms, and reporting systems
Coordinates the grant application review process
Conducts monthly reconciliations of VOCA funds expended in collaboration with finance
Tracks VOCA funds available for annual award calculations and resource allocation decisions
Assists in the planning, developing, and participating in conferences and workshops in specific areas
Participates in the development of materials for orientation and training related to grants administration for staff
Performs related duties as required

Required

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business or public administration, education, criminology, psychology or one of the social sciences and five years of professional experience in one of the above areas, at least two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
A Master's degree can substitute for one year of the required experience
Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education
