NEOGOV is seeking an Accounting Assistant to perform specialized, advanced para-professional library work within the County Library. The role involves managing clerical duties, assisting with accounts payable, and responding to public inquiries.

Responsibilities

Assists with a variety of clerical duties in support of department including: processing accounts payable; payroll, copying and filing documents; completion of time sheets; ordering supplies; weekly deposits
Receives and responds to public inquiries, requests for assistance and complaints in areas of responsibility
Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and prepares a variety of routine reports as required
Performs general administrative/ clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondence, entering, and retrieving computer data, copying, and filing document, answering the telephone, etc
Attends trainings, meetings, workshops, conferences, etc., as necessary to maintain job knowledge and skills
Performs other related job duties as assigned

Required

Requires an Associate's degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education with emphasis in a business-related field
Valid state driver's license required
Requires a minimum of two years accounting software experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
